What is a Medical Record Review?

A Medical Record Review is a review of the submitted documents and a medical opinion based upon a review of those documents.

How is a Medical Record Review different from a Medical Consult?

A Medical Record Review is not interactive, like a Medical Consult. The medical expert performing a Medical Record Review will simply review the records and write a report based upon the documents submitted for review.

How quickly can a Medical Record Review be completed?

Most Medical Record Review reports are completed in 2-4 weeks, unless the file is voluminous or if a report is requested sooner.

What is the cost?

A Medical Record Review is billed hourly. There is no minimum charge. We quote all services at the time the request is made and the records are received. The hourly rate is quoted and an estimate for the total time can be given at the time.
